Greetings From The Beast,
|
As of this morning, we can officially assure international ski teams and ski racing fans traveling from near and far that the Stifel Killington Cup is a go! Our snowmaking team pumped as many as 130 guns at a time to lay down enough snow on Superstar for the slalom and giant slalom races to proceed as scheduled on November 25 and 26. Will you be here?
There’s still time to get general admission tickets for just $10, or maybe treat yourself to a VIP package, which includes premium viewing and access to the Great Gulf LiveKillington.com VIP Tent. Limited VIP packages are available for just Sunday or the entire weekend, sold through the Killington World Cup Foundation, which provides funding for winter sports programs throughout the Northeast. A portion of all Stifel Killington Cup ticket sales benefit KWCF, in addition to getting you into the village to view the racing action and great live music performances all weekend long. We’ve got more tips and tricks for making the most of this year’s event in our latest Insider Blog.

Before the best ski racers in the world descend on The Beast, we’re kicking off the contest season with the Loaded Turkey Rail Jam this Saturday, November 18. This event is open to skiers and snowboarders and we’re serving up Thanksgiving dinner to the winners, with top honors taking home a turkey and the fixins’ going to second and third. The award ceremony will take place at the Peak Lodge shortly after the event concludes in the Woodward Killington Mountain Park on Reason.
We know you’re anxious for top-to-bottom skiing and riding, and our team has taken advantage of every opportunity to make snow for that purpose as well as create snow for the Stifel Killington Cup, but we’re not quite there yet. It looks like snowmaking temps will return on Saturday and we’ll get back at it. Until then, enjoy the cruise down Upper Great Northern to access the North Ridge area and be glad you only have to walk back out! Be sure to check the conditions report for the most up-to-date information before you arrive.
See you on the trails!
